ANIMAL FACES ART AND CRAFT PROJECT
In September I started back up with my events at the North Beach Branch of the San Francisco Public Library. I provided drawings of animal heads in permanent ink and the children did the rest. They colored with water soluble crayons, sloshed water about and stuck on a million things. I had forgotten how much fun it is seeing the children fully engaged. The expression on the small boy’s face while creating a sort of mud pie made it all worthwhile.
SUMMER ART AND CRAFT PROJECT
This was a special summer school art and craft day, at an earlier time of day. As usual, children were given one of my permanent ink drawings to color with water soluble crayons. This time they also got an object to color, cut out and stick on, plus letters that spelled out SUMMER to also add to their artwork. Painting the water on the colored crayons makes their work unique, but of course the addition of the bits and bobs sends it into orbit!
PUPPIES ART AND CRAFT PROJECT
As far as I can see, the children get better and better at my projects. They are so clever and enthusiastic. I love it when they get carried away and practically stand on the table.
These pictures are from my PUPPIES event at the North Beach branch of the San Francisco Public Library. As usual, they colored in my permanent ink drawing and then sloshed water about for the water color effect. After that, on with the glueing and anything goes!
FISH ART AND CRAFT PROJECT
Another happy Art and Craft event at the North Beach branch of the SF Public Library. I was so pleased to see so many faces of all ages. It is terrific to see the moms taking a moment to relax and enjoy themselves. I also got a teacher from TelHi with a gaggle of enthusiastic and talented little girls. This is part of their after school program so they do have a choice of activities. I must find a way to entice more little boys. All in all I had nearly 40 participants. I will now start preparing next month's event which is to be puppies – a crowd pleaser, I hope!
FLOWERS AND BUTTERFLIES ART AND CRAFT PROJECT
As always these children amazed me with their enthusiasm and creativity at my FLOWERS AND BUTTERFLIES Art and Craft event at the North Beach branch of the San Francisco library. Each child got a watercolor sheet of paper with a permanent pen line drawing. First we colored with CARAN D’ACHE water soluble pastels, then painted on water to mix up the colors. After that we stuck on anything and everything. This project had a separate butterfly that had to be cut out and stuck on.
BIRDS ART AND CRAFT PROJECT
The BIRDS event at the North Beach Branch of the San Francisco Public Library was amazing and fun. As usual, I was gobsmacked by the talent and creativity of the children. Adults and children colored with water soluble crayons, then painted with water to get the watercolor effects. After that they stuck on anything that grabbed their imagination. They were thrilled to take them home and show them off. I couldn't have been more proud of them.
COLOR AND WRITE ART AND CRAFT PROJECT
This was my first Art and Craft event. As you can see from my COLOR AND WRITE STORIES & PRESCHOOL COLOR STORIES pages, I had plenty of images to choose from. I loved seeing children of all ages having fun coloring and writing. Even the parents joined in. They can all be downloaded for free.
SNOWMAN ART AND CRAFT PROJECT
This was a terrific get in the mood for the holidays craft and art event. I was lucky to get children of all ages to participate so got wonderful results. The first three were my examples and then after that are the children’s snowmen. I was gobsmacked and had to share them with you.
